Gaza: Gaza’s Health Ministry has issued an urgent call for medical supplies, revealing the severe shortage of essential equipment in the region's hospitals.
Operating rooms and emergency departments are struggling to cope with the influx of patients while working with dilapidated equipment and a lack of basic resources.
According to the ministry, Gaza’s hospitals are in desperate need of X-ray and anesthesia machines, surgical tools, medical beds, and cleaning supplies, which are vital to prevent infections and ensure the proper care of the injured.
The situation is further compounded by the complete depletion of bed sheets, specialized surgical fabrics, and medical gases used in surgeries, sterilization, and pain management.
"The severe shortage of medical equipment and general supplies exacerbates the complex crisis facing hospitals and hinders the work of medical teams," the Health Ministry emphasized. These shortages are severely hindering healthcare efforts, putting countless lives at risk as hospitals continue to operate under extreme pressure. The international community has been urged to provide immediate aid to prevent further suffering and loss of life.
